Jamie xx’s “Let’s Do It Again” is a four-minute pep rally

After the release of his 2015 critical and commercial smashIn Colour,Jamie xxwaited nearly five years to drop another solo single. The club-ready "Idontknow" arrived in May 2020, followed by another prolonged recording hiatus. Today, he's broken that silence with "Let's Do It Again," which arrives just before his festival-packed summer tour kicks off at Coachella this weekend.

The new track is unrelentingly upbeat. It leans into the optimistic impulses of late-aughts EDM with a house vocal sample replete with words of encouragement and a synth that trampolines over a four-on-the-floor beat.
